 Additional Info

Dining at Disney World could possibly be the most fun you can have while there. From character breakfasts to dinner shows, they have everything imaginable. The following list highlights a few places that you should not miss. Happy eating!

Breakfast: On most days you'll probably catch a quick breakfast at your hotel so you can get out to the parks; which is a good plan. However, you shouldn't leave WDW without going to at least one character breakfast. A character breakfast is an all -you-can-eat breakfast extravaganza. It comes complete with all of the breakfast favorites and some favorite Disney characters as well. Our favorite is at 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian. You can schedule priority seating up to 2 months in advance. Check the link (Dining) or call 1-407-WDW-DINE for more information.

Lunch: Lunch can be on-the-go or it can be a sit down affair. For a great sit down meal, try The Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom or The Rose and Crown at EPCOT. You can eat with Pooh and his pals at the Crystal Palace or try some traditional British meals at the Rose and Crown. For the sports lovers out there, the ESPN Club is an absolute must. It is a sports fan's dream. Great food, tons of televisions, and the latest video games makes this one of my favorites.

Dinner: There are so many great places to eat that I won't even attempt to list them all, but I will share a few of our favorites. Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort is an interactive, all-you-can eat, buffet dinner. The food is fabulous and Mickey, Minnie, and their friends provide some great dinner entertainment. The Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney and Disney's Animal Kingdom should not be missed. The scenery alone is worth the wait. Finally, the Hoop-De-Do Review at the Wilderness Lodge is a fantastic all-you-can eat dinner show in an Old West saloon setting. The show is wildly entertaining and the ribs just can't be beat!

Miscellaneous: Here are a few other dining hints:
  • If your resort offers a theme mug, buy it! It entitles you to free refills of hot and cold beverages for the length of your stay. Furthermore, bring that same mug back the next time you return because you can still use it! My All Star mug has been back five times!
  • Don't leave the Magic Kingdom without stopping in the bakery on Main Street.
  • Visit a hot dog vender.
  • Visit the rotating restaurant, The Garden Grill, at The Land in EPCOT. Try their ice cream sundae, you'll love it!
